Well there is alot more to say about the first 50 levels than what I have told in my individual postings. I wanted to save this until level 60 but I feel like writing now so here goes.
Blizzard has stated that changes to some zones are minor while others are major, and that nearly every zone has changed in some way. This holds true after my adventures in Kalimdor. I have leveled exclusively in Kalimdor on my Goblin at this point, skipping over Feralas & Desolace. I am saving Mulgore so I can test a Tauren Paladin through that zone only. I am saving Durotar and Nothern Barrens for a Troll Druid and will level through those two zones only. Finally, I will hit up an NE something to do Darkshore later.
As a Goblin I have been through the Goblin newbie zones (1-12), Azshara, Ashenvale, Stonetalon Mountains, Southern Barrens, Dustwallow Marshes, Thousand Needles & Tanaris.
One thing that Blizzard mentioned is that most of the original quests in the world remain intact. From what I have seen in Kalimdor that is not the case, 95% of the quests are new. However, the new quests are more exciting and offer more storyline than their previous predecessors. You come out of a zone knowing where you can/are going next and this eliminates the guesswork.
Every instance (to my knowledge) now has the relevant quest NPCs inside at the entrance so you no longer have to go and hunt them down.
At this point in beta it is too early to tell what classes will be stronger than others. Right now for Mages, Fire is the new Arcane and does well for leveling. For Warlocks, Destro is rediculously OP and I can count on 1 hand how many times I have had to sit down to eat/drink in the first 50 levels. For Priests, Holy remains a weak leveling alternative, and shadow is still recommended. Ret Paladins are still the preferred method of leveling and right now are incredibly OP in the higher levels. I witnessed a 44 Tauren Paladin hitting a 45 elite mob for 15% strikes in Gadgetzan, easily soloing it. Enhancement & Elemental shamans are amazing at the moment as well, and are rumored to be the most OP specs in Cataclysm.
There are still tons of bugs which is to be expected in early beta. I believe we have only had 2 invite phases thus far and the world is a lonely place especially at the higher 30-80 levels.
Northrend and Outland remain 100% untouched as I understand, and Goblins/Worgen are having trouble accepting some quests in those areas.
